Meet Parker, Charles, and Hunter

Three brothers, ages 12, 10, and 7. Every cookie passes through all three of their hands.
Left to right: Parker (12), Hunter (7), and Charles (10) at their cookie table.
P

Parker Age 12

Wet ingredients and the oven
Parker mixes all of the wet ingredients and manages the oven. He’s in charge of the bake time the brothers spent three months getting right, which is the difference between a good cookie and a great one.
C

Charles Age 10

Dry ingredients and rolling
Charles mixes all of the dry ingredients. Then he weighs and rolls every single cookie by hand, so a 4 oz cookie is really 4 oz and a 2 oz cookie is really 2 oz. Every batch comes out consistent because of him.
H

Hunter Age 7

Chocolate chips and packaging
Hunter places four chocolate chips on top of every cookie before it goes in the oven. After baking, he packages, seals, and labels each one. If you’re holding a Bake Squad cookie, Hunter was the last one to touch it.

How they work together

At the ballpark, the brothers took turns. Whoever had a game played, and the other two walked the stands selling the 72 cookies they’d baked the night before. At home, the cookie moves down the line from Parker’s wet ingredients and Charles’s dry ingredients and rolling to Hunter’s chips and packaging.

They saved what they earned and bought a 30-quart mixer together, which took them from 12 cookies a batch to 72.
